Multiple OS
Learn how you could transform your hosting server from the very beginning with a selection of Multiple Operating Systems.
An Operating System is the software which communicates with the hardware of a computer and functions as the intermediary between applications and the hardware, including peripheral devices such as a printer, a computer mouse or a keyboard. When you run an application, it transmits requests to the OS using an API (Application Program Interface) and the communication is done through a command line or a Graphical User Interface (GUI). Identical to a personal computer, web hosting servers also feature an Operating System that serves as a host for the software installed on them, which includes script applications or server-side software such as a flash server, a VOIP server, and many others. A virtual machine can be set up on a physical one, so you'll be able to install a guest OS on it and have a different system environment compared to the physical server host Operating System.

Multiple OS in VPS Hosting
We offer you as many as three different Linux distributions for the Operating System of our
virtual private servers - Debian, CentOS and Ubuntu. These are some of the most stable and reliable OSs out there and we provide all 3 instead of only 1 as we realize that you might want to install some software that has specific requirements regarding the Operating System it shall run on. The latter is due to the fact that each of the three Operating Systems has a large support community behind it and there're various software programs you could install on the hosting server. Your OS choice will also determine what hosting Control Panel can be installed on the VPS if you would like to use one and for this reason we offer several Control Panels too. Should you decide that you want some other OS, our technical support can quickly wipe the present one and set up the one that you want. We also offer an optional service to have the OS on your VPS updated weekly.

Multiple OS in Dedicated Web Hosting
If you decide to get one of our
dedicated servers, you will find three Operating Systems on the registration page since we want to give you a larger choice for the system environment on your server as different apps could have specific requirements. CentOS, Ubuntu and Debian include different modules developed by their huge support communities, so you can select any of these OSs and enjoy a stable and safe hosting service. Depending on your selection, you'll also have different Control Panels to choose from. Needless to say, we can always change the Operating System in case the one you have selected initially does not meet the requirements of the software which you want to run. We can also update your OS regularly in order to keep it as secure as possible through our Managed Services upgrade package.
